The Story of Edit
Since Lauren was a little girl, she was intrigued with colors, clothes and accessories…all things fashion! At age four, when asked to name her favorite color, Lauren had an unusual and confident reply:: “I have two: Periwinkle and Terracotta.” (It’s no secret she was a child of the early ’80’s!) If you talked to Lauren’s mom, she’d tell you that since the age of six, Lauren has rarely been spotted without her seasonal handbag and coordinating accessories.
An Atlanta native, Lauren noticed her friends and family asking her for wardrobe advice. Lauren found herself receiving phone calls from friends asking for shopping tips or needing help designing new outfits out of existing clothes…She was even paid to help women twice-her-age shop during her high school years! Styling others became of passion and a creative outlet for Lauren, and she developed a love for helping people develop their own personal style.
After graduating from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, and dabbling in fashion, retail-sales and modeling over the years, Lauren was hit with what she likes to call “a light-bulb moment” (some might call it an epiphany):: she realized that she could do the styling, shopping and wardrobing she loved all the time...and could make a career out of it!
In 2008, Lauren officially launched both her dream and something she had been doing her entire life…and called it a company named Edit by Lauren.
The rest is history in the making…!

Courtney has been fascinated with fashion ever since she was a little girl. From helping her friends pick out “first day of school” outfits in her pre-teen years to doing her best to distract her sorority sisters with online shopping and late-night fashion shows while in college, she has always had a true passion for styling and accessorizing herself and others. When she realized that she could make a career out of doing what she loves most, she decided to go for it. She says, “I have always heard that if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. This is what I love. It is the thing I believe I am the absolute best at, and I cannot imagine doing anything else!”
A graduate of the University of Georgia with an advertising degree with an emphasis on fashion and event planning, Courtney has always enjoyed helping others with their style. She became the “go-to” room in her sorority house for clothing and accessories. With years of experience in retail stores and helping friends and family to revamp their wardrobes, Courtney is eager to make clients feel better about themselves, inside and out.
Courtney has a love for simple, classic pieces paired with fun, flirty trends and accessories. Friends describe her style as “classic and fun with color-blocking statement pieces,” and “trendy sophistication with a certain flair.” She says, “There is little more satisfying to me than putting together an outfit and having someone say, ‘Wow! I would have never thought to put those two pieces together, and I look GREAT!’” Courtney has been nicknamed the “clothing queen” of her household, and is eager to come and show you what she can do for you!
