Happy Friday to all!!

I love seeing the eggplant and aubergine (and just plain “dark purple”) trends on the fall makeup forecast. In fact, I really love the color despite the season because I’ve found that no matter whose makeup I’m doing, the color just WORKS.

To prove my point and hopefully encourage you to embrace this new neutral, I created my own little demo, using the same eye shadow on two of my best friends. Chelsea has an olive complexion, a brunette babe with beautiful brown eyes. Christie is the resident blondie, medium/light skin tone with THE bluest eyes that you’ll secretly wish you had — like me!

I used the above Nars Eurydice (aka “electric aubergine/graphite”) eyeshadow duo. Check them out!

I realize that due to my lack of super-high tech camera that you aren’t as able to see the purple pigment in the shadow, but you get the idea, right?
