Shades of Green

Bright greens will be making a splash in the world of clothes and accessories this Spring. From Emerald green to Kelly Green to Lime Green, this is a color that never fails to stand out in a crowd. Though it’s a fairly universal color, Emerald looks especially fabulous on brunettes. I think Kelly Green is amazing on blondes. I enjoy pairing bold green hues with turquoise blues and gold jewelry for a stunning color combination.

The Stella & Dot Saveena Flower Ring ($49) is my new favorite ring. Not only is it gorgeous, but it gives you a pop of glam green that you can mix into any outfit.

I just love it when I see a man sporting a good-looking scarf and wearing it for both style and warmth. If you have not yet invested in a good scarf this season, it’s the time to do so! Both Macy’s and Banana Republic have both marked down most all their men’s scarves, including lots of designer names. Stock up now on a few stylish scarves that you are bound to wear for years to come.

It’s difficult to get more classic than a Ralph Lauren Signature Wool Scarf. This warm scarf comes in a variety of colors and has been marked down from $49.50 to $28.99.

Every guy needs some plaid pattern in his winter wardrobe. This reversible plaid scarf by Ralph Lauren was originally $52 and is now $30.99.

Banana Republic’s Wool fringed scarf in Tree trunk heather is now just $29.99 and is a great scarf for wearing as a statement accessory, indoors or out.

Calvin Klien’s Reversible Jacquard Scarf is solid on one side and has a houndstooth pattern on the other. It was $50 and is now $29.99.

Spring ‘09 Trend Alert: The Trench Coat

I love it when it just so happens that a particular season’s “must-have trend” is also a classic wardrobe staple. That’s the case this Spring with the popularity of the Trench Coat. Since the trench is one of the most classic items a woman can have in her wardrobe, this is a piece, if purchased this season, you will continue to wear for years to come! It’s perfect for the unpredictable weather of spring and will come in handy on the rainy/overcast days of summer.

I think designer Michael Kors would agree since he was once quoted: “Put on a trench and your suddenly Audrey Hepburn walking along the Seine.”

Although you can’t go wrong with the classic, go-with-everything khaki-toned trench, there are a lot of fresh color choices available this season.
