I believe a great belt is one of the easiest ways to update and transform your wardrobe. I insist that every client I work with at least tries a belt while we are shopping together. It’s amazing how almost any woman’s waist, size 0-16, is flattered with a high waisted belt. Since the rib-cage area, just below the bust, is usually the smallest part of a woman’s waist, it’s the ideal place to cinch and to draw the attention of the eye. I highly encourage you to try a new belt this Spring. Try belting long, loose blouses, tunics, cardigans, sundresses, etc. The possibilities are endless. And with the prices of these fab belts from Forever 21, you can experiment with a few sizes and styles for just a minor investment. Note:: If you are belting the small of your waist, you will need a smaller size belt than one you would wrap around your hips through the belt loops of pants.)

There’s something about plaids, gingham and checkered-patterns that make me think of two words: “summer” and “picnic.” These two pieces from Forever 21 do just that. Don’t they make you want to spread out a big blanket on lush green glass, un-cork a bottle of wine and slice a watermelon?! It’s a nice bonus that these patterns happen to be making a splash this season, for both men and women.

This blue and black Gingham Flare Skirt couldn’t be cuter and is priced at just $17.80. I love the tiered ruffled front of the Kylie Plaid Shirt, selling for a mere $15.80! (Going into fall, I would pair this plaid shirt with a great pair of cowboy boots!)
