For those of you who know Lauren, you know she has fabulously long blonde hair that’s almost always perfectly curled in that I’m -not-trying-to-look-so-perfect-but-it’s-happening….sigh. BUT I have resolved that 2011 would be the year of hair for me. I have already (sorta) figured out the at-home blow out, and thanks to the how-to video below I found on dailycandy.com there might be hope for my own curly hair future!!

Back to the “long weekend” thing. It’s the unofficial start to summer and that means somehow managing to look fabulous in 100 degree weather. Hey, don’t sweat it (literally). Here are a few of my pics to help you look and feel fresh outdoors all weekend long:

3. YSL collector sun powder: $72 amazon.com – Whether your want to enhance your sun-kissed glow….or need to enhance your more fair skinned disposition (me), this mineral powder will do both. You can use it on your face and/or all over your body for a little extra “umph” in your sundress! PLUS, you’ll have this compact for a long time — waaay worth the investment.

4. Kielh’s Lip Gloss : $14.50 nordstrom.com – C’mon, you knew I wasn’t going to skip a must-have’s post without mentioning lipgloss. This one has SPF to protect your lips from those harsh rays! It also comes in approachable colors that you’ll feel comfortable wearing to the beach or the barbecue.

As you might have seen on our facebook page and/or blog we helped Kai celebrate their 5th anniversary last night at their Johns Creek location. IT WAS A BLAST! It was my first time to one of their locations (in town girls, there is a Kai in Sandy Springs), and I was absolutely not disappointed.

(We had so much fun in fact, we forgot to take pictures — DANG!)

Talk about being in a beauty-nut’s-heaven! This place had beautiful makeup, facials, massages — the WORKS. Not to mention a really lovely staff of great women who know what they are doing! (…and how to have fun ) If you weren’t able to make it to the event last night, I can’t think of a better reason to shoot on over there and give Kai a try! I heard whispers amongst the staff and guests of a new peel that is taking 10 years off…I’m just sayin’….

Next week, we’re going to dispel the any spray-tan anxieties ya’ll might have when we talk to Kai bronzing-goddess-extraordinare Sonya — yours truly will be getting my glow on this week — stay tuned!

Chanel's Spring 2011 Nail Polish Collection
