The straight-leg Levi 501 debuted over 100 years ago and remains a trend-setter staple, as well as a collector’s item, today. Thanks to J.Crew for debuting a new collection of breathable, stay-cool-during-summer shirts. In the words of J.Crew, the
Secret Wash Lightweight Button-Down Shirts ($59.50) are “sublimely soft, incredibly lightweight cotton shirts we’ve peached and Secret Washed to perfection.”

My absolute favorite pattern, that is on my list to soon purchase for my hubbie, is the Pomegranate Tundra Plaid.

This Gingham pattern shirt highlights one of the hottest patterns of this season.

I had the great pleasure of seeing Michael Buble in concert in Atlanta a few months ago and became a bigger fan of him than I already was. His voice is A-mazing! What is {almost} as incredible is his new wardrobe. His concert tour wardrobe is exclusively from Nordstrom. What’s fun is that you can now shop Buble’s look on Nordstrom.com. There are lots of sharp suiting and cool casual ensembles from which to shop.

In the words of Buble’s stylist, Holly: “Michael loves a suit for any occasion. A grey suit is easy to dress up or down depending on your shirt. White is classic and always sharp…try a dark shirt for night time, stripes for a day thing. You can even wear the suit’s jacket as a blazer with jeans.”

I just love Ashton Kutcher’s response to the question, “Do you have any fashion guidelines?” during an interview with InStyle Magazine (March 2010 issue). Ashton’s advice:: “Your shoes have to match your belt. That’s rule number one for guys. You can’t put the brown shoes with the black belt. Or a brown belt with a black wristwatch. Just don’t do it! I don’t like boots with suits. And when you wear sneakers, make sure they go with your shirt. If they’ve got a big green swoosh on them, you need a shirt with green in it. It ties everything together.”
