A No-Excuse NOT to Shop Weekend!

This weekend there are absolutely no excuses not to be out there shopping! (Well, of course, I am sure there are some good reasons…but you get my point!) For all Georgia residents, it’s a tax-free shopping weekend…which can add to some pretty significant savings! In addition, Gap, Banana, and Old Navy (and Athleta if you shop online) are offering a whopping 30% off your entire purchase all weekend long…that’s even an additional discount on top of clearance/markdown items!! (See post from Tuesday about coupon.) And, just when it seems that it can’t possibly get any better, Nordstrom is in it’s final 3 days of its infamous Anniversary Sale this weekend (last day is Sunday, August 2). No tax and huge savings on Fall fashions?! Drop whatever you are doing and hurry to the mall…that’s where I am heading right now! See you there!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Begins TODAY!

If you haven’t ever shopped Nordstrom during its Anniversary Sale, make it a priority for this week be your first! The Anniversary Sale is like a “sale in reverse!” The store marks down brand new Fall merchandise store wide for 2 weeks (until August 2nd) and then raises the prices back to “original” pricing. How often is it that you can get brand-new items on drastic mark-downs?! (I am a huge fan of this concept and wish other stores would catch on to the novel idea!) If I were to post every impressive deal, this blog would take you days upon days to read…so I will just mention a few here. Make sure you make time to stroll through your local Nordstrom or browse online at Nordstrom.com.

1. The Dolce Vita ‘Webber’ Cuffed Bootie, available in brown (pictured) and in black. $139.90, after sale: $209.95.
2. The Cole Haan ‘Howland’ Penny Loafer (my hubbies favorite shoes!). $89.90, after sale: $148.00.
3. Michael Kors ‘Jet Set Sport’ Watch. $119.90, after sale: $180.00. (Note: This Watch is listed in the recent Anniversary Sale cataloge for this price, through not listed on sale on line. Nordstrom will honor this price, as listed in print.)
4. Caslon® Distressed Leather Jacket. $149.09, after sale: $228.
5. Shades of Couture by Juicy Couture ‘Heritage’ Aviator Sunglasses. $64.90, after sale: $98).
