In my opinion, a girl cannot have enough laying tanks in your wardrobe. Layering tanks need to be different than workout tanks and long length and a smooth fit is a must. As the weather turns cooler this Fall (here’s hoping temps will change soon!), layering tanks become a critical building block in a woman’s wardrobe. A ribbed tank looks great under cardigans, jackets, blazers, vests and are, of course, useful under itchy winter sweaters.

This Extra Long Ribbed Tank by Stem is amazingly soft and long in length, making it the ideal tank to layer with anything, including wearing with tighter-fitting leggings or jeggings in the coming months. (Note, what makes these tanks awesome for layering is that they lay smooth and a bit clingy to the body. These tanks look much better worn under another layer rather than worn on their own, since they are a bit sheer.) Though these tanks are advertised at $26 online, they are currently just $13.90 in Nordstom stores! I highly recommend stocking up on three basic colors:: white, black and gray. These three shades will mix and match with nearly everything imaginal and get you througha year’s worth of layered outfits! Want the deal but don’t live near a Nordstrom? Simply call the TBD department at a Nordstrom store and ask them to ship the on-sale tanks to you!

I purchased this strapless dress by Velvet last week at Nordstrom. It’s the perfect, comfy cotton dress that can transition from day to night, from pool-side as a cover up to an outdoor dinner with friends. The fit is as flattering as it is comfortable. I love how you can change up your jewelry and shoe pairings for a million different looks. I had the great pleasure of seeing Michael Buble in concert in Atlanta a few months ago and became a bigger fan of him than I already was. His voice is A-mazing!  Shimera Seamless Camisole ($22/each or two for $44)  is a must-have wardrobe investment. This camisole is unbelievably soft (which is lovely since it sits so close to your skin) and comes in a variety of colors (I recommend a white, ivory and black to mix and match with everything in your closet). But my favorite attribute is that it is a v-neck on one side and straight neck on the other, so you can reverse it and wear with any neckline. Genius. A good cami will be especially important this Spring to wear under the trendy peasant/boho tops, so make sure you are well-prepared!

My newest favorite pair of jeans is the Citizens of Humanity ‘Ava’ Straight Leg Stretch Jeans in Faith Wash ($163). These jeans are incredibly comfortable, soft and flattering…which is a difficult combination to find!
