I had an hour in between appointments Friday and happened to be right by my local Anthropologie. It was a perfect excuse to try on some new arrivals, all perfect for the late-Summer to early-Fall transition! I truly found some gems, and took a few of them home with me.
I showcased my dressing room haul on Instastories and had so many questions and responses to the pieces I tried on, I thought I would also share the wealth here!
1. This gingham top. This top deserves ALL the heart-eyes! It is just SO, SO good.
{It’s a small investment but one that I think it is justifiable since it can be worn Spring, Summer and Fall!. I’ve already worn it with white jeans, too.} The embroidery details are gorgeous and the back is slightly longer than the front, giving it a flattering “side-view.” It runs generous, so I reccommend sizing down. I am wearing an XS.
2. These skinny jeans. I am always on the hunt for the perfect everyday pair of skinny jeans. I’ve been a big fan of AG skinnies the past few seasons, and tried on this pair, called “The Abbey,” for the first time. The material is so soft and comfy and the cut is super flattering! This is the perfect all-around-wash to go with everything and to dress up or down. If you are looking for a great pair of classic skinny jeans for Fall, look no further. They run true to size.
3. This striped tee. I am ALWAYS on the hunt for a perfect striped tee, since it’s one of the most classic pieces a gal can own. Sadly, it seems the best ones sell out before most can get their hands on them! I have been looking for one in a red and navy combo, and was so excited to find this one! It is SUPER soft and also comes in two other color schemes. It looks great alone and will also be amazing to throw on under vests and cardigans for Fall.
4. These cropped white jeans. My favorite pair of go-to white jeans are distressed with lots of holes, which I love, so I have been looking for a pair of “solid” non-distressed white crops to add into the mix. I have literally been trying on white jeans all summer long without finding a pair I loved…until now! This pair of Pilcro crops fit like a dream. I love the slight flare leg that is surprisingly flattering. They are under-$100, too! Even though its late Summer, I highly recommend snagging these now. You can wear them through October or so, and then pull them back out in March!
I liked the fit of the white crops so much that I ordered the pair pictured above {which fit the same}, as well. I tried this blue denim pair in one size larger than I need, and then ordered my correct size. I tried them on on Instastories and then failed to take a pic in them! These jeans will be so cute to wear into Fall with flats, heels and ankle booties.
4. This bell sleeve dress. This versatile dress is the prettiest egg-plant color and such a great fit. I am wearing an XS here and would size down ideally to an XS Petite, which is what I typically order in Anthropologie dresses. I absolutely love the cut of the sleeves, and the versatilily of this dress that can be worn to work, a cocktail party, a wedding and even dressed down with a tall boot!
5. This pom-pom top. Bell-sleeves and poms?! Yes, please! This boho top is such a fun Fall piece. I would start wearing it now with shorts and/or white jeans. It runs small, so if you are busty, I recommend sizing up!
