Valentine’s Day is the holiday pretty much everyone loves to hate. I mean, really, let’s dissect this day for a moment.
Flower delivery prices increase 200%, restaurants (even the crappy ones) are booked with “special fixed menus”, single people are reminded that they are indeed single, your kids bring home princess and pirate themed crap, you eat excessive amounts of chocolate because hey, it’s Valentine’s Day, and if you are the lucky one who did get a reservation to that swanky new “it” restaurant, you now have to find something appropriate to wear.
Now that I’ve established myself as the scrooge of Valentine’s Day, let’s discuss what to wear for whatever event awaits you.
1. Be literal…literally. Graphic tee’s and sweaters are a big thing now so use these tops as a play on words. Wear with your favorite denim and add a leather jacket for an edgier look.

2. Wear your heart on your sleeve. Or where ever your heart leads you.
3. Paint the town red…or pink. Use Valentine colors to get yourself dressed.
4. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend. Costume jewelry does the trick sometimes too. Use jewels to add a little sparkle to your outfit.
What I do love about all of the items above is that they are versatile and can be remixed even after the box of chocolates have been devoured. Whether you are married, single, or experiencing new love, I hope you have the Happiest Valentine’s Day. And you never know, there might just be the best Valentine right in front of you.
Happy Shopping!
