Shorts season is {almost} here! It may still be cold where you live, but if you are headed somewhere warm for Spring Break in the next month or so, now is the time to shop!
Denim shorts are the most essential, versatile shorts you can own, because, like jeans, they go with everything! The best denim shorts sell out early each season, which is why I recommend shopping now.
The pair I am wearing in this post are some of the best denim shorts I have ever found! These mid-rise Pilcro shorts from Anthropologie are stretchy, comfortable and super flattering. They are literally the shorts I will be wearing several times a week all Spring/Summer!
The cuff is adjustable, so the length can be switched up, which I love. I am wearing them at the “shorter” length in this post, but I also love the look of them let down one cuff for a slightly longer look.
A good pair of denim shorts can be pricy, so the $68 price tag of this pair makes them extra appealing! {For sizing reference, I am 5’7, I wear my typical jeans/pants size, a 26, in these.}
Here are some other great denim shorts options to shop in a variety of lengths and all under-$70 ::
In other news, I am excited to announce that there are now MORE and EASIER way to shop all my outfit via the brand new LiketoKnow.IT app. If you follow me on Instagram and/or Snapchat {@laurenlefevre}, you can shop my looks with a simple screenshot on your phone!

Lauren what shirt length do you recommend for more mature (50’s and above) women?

Hi Shawn,
A lot depends on your leg type, but I usually say mid thigh to right above the knee. If you have thinner longer legs, you can pull off a longer short, but if you have thicker, more muscular legs, a few inches above the knee is more flattering. 🙂
