blush neutrals + what you need to know about the nordstrom sale

I’m all about bright-colors during summer, but sometimes pairing back to an all neutral outfit is a refreshing change of pace. Blush and white is one of the easiest neutral combinations to pull off, and these colors look good on just about every skin tone. {Just find the shade of blush that best compliments your coloring!}

A blush top is a great piece to buy now and wear into Fall. Pair it with denim, black, navy or gray tones when the seasons change. A sheer or lacy blush top or tank can be worn under a jacket or blazer in Fall as a feminine layering piece.

Switching gears a bit, I wanted to take a little time to prepare you all for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, AKA “Christmas in July,” that starts THIS THURSDAY, JULY 14th!!

This is not only the biggest sale at Nordstrom of the year, but, in my opinion, the BIGGEST AND BEST sale of the year anywhere! If you are unfamiliar with it, I like to explain this sale as a “reverse sale.” What I mean by that is that this sale is made up of all brand-new Fall inventory, that hasn’t even been available to shop before the sale. These items are marked down 40% off or more. Then, when the sale ends, everything will go back to regular price.

This is THE TIME to stock up on Fall pieces…especially basics like denim, shoes and boots, jackets/coats, watches and handbags. It’s also an amazing time to save on everyday basics like athletic wear, lingerie and beauty products. It feels somewhat crazy to think about Fall clothes with sweltering summer temps outside, but I assure you that it will well worth it!

I’ll be posting ALL my sale favorites here on the blog starting at 12:01am Thursday. {I am going into the store Wednesday to try on and snap pics wearing my Anniversary Sale favs.}

Until then, here is what you need to know to prepare ::

WHEN IT IS :: There are a few key dates you need to know and jot down! If you are a Nordstrom Card Holder, you can shop the sale during Early Access starting this Thursday, July 14th. The first week of the sale is open exclusively to Nordstrom Card Holders, and often the best products sell out during this first week. The second date to remember is Friday, July 22nd. This is when the sale opens to the public. If you are not a Nordstrom Card Holder, I recommend getting on your computer the moment the clock strikes midnight on the 22nd and shopping before the rest of the best goodies sell out! The last day of the sale is Sunday, August 7th, and after this date, all sale prices go back up to normal.

HOW TO SHOP IT :: If you are not yet a Nordstrom Card Holder and weary of opening up a new credit card, I highly recommend the Nordstrom Debit Card that connects directly to your bank account {creating accountability not to overspend!} and grants you ALL of the same rewards and sale access as the Credit Card. I have the Debit Card and love it!

A NEW PERK :: You don’t need any coupons to shop; however, Nordstrom just rolled out a new Rewards Program for all customers! Signing us is easy and free and allows you to earn 1 point for every dollar spent. Additionally, you’ll receive a $10 rewards certificate just by signing up.
