Happy Friday! Can you believe that it is almost the Fourth of July?!
It’s time to start outfit planning for your holiday festivities! I am dedicating today’s “Friday Five” to comfortable, easy-to-wear outfit ideas. I am hoping that this post gives you inspiration to recreate similar looks out of what’s already in your closet or simply purchase a piece or two to complete a look!
1. Striped tee + red shorts. A navy/white striped tee is my go-to top for any patriotic holiday. You can wear a striped tee with white shorts, denim shorts or these red shorts for a classic 4th look. If you don’t yet own a striped tee you love, this is an essential piece you NEED in your summer wardrobe pronto! You’ll wear it constantly, I promise.

2. Blue and white stripes + denim shorts. If you follow me on Instagram, you know how much I love this little off-the-shoulder pom-pom top. It’s such a great little affordable top {only $35}, that I own it in three colors! This blue/white version is perfect for the Fourth of July! It can also be worn with white bottoms. Just add a red accessory like these tassel earrings to finish the look!
3. White top + red shorts. You can’t go wrong with a plain or lace white top with red shorts. Pair with sandals or sneaks and you are sure to look patriotic and festive without much effort! These $38 blue sunnies are the perfect accessory!
4. Red top + white or blue denim. You can’t go wrong with wearing a classic red top for the Fourth! Bright orangey-reds are trending this season and are on the most flattering shades of red on all skin tones. This is a great purchase to wear now through Fall. 5. Anything blue and white gingham! Gingham is always a classic choice for the Fourth and really any summer occasion! Gingham is a trending pattern and seemingly everywhere this season…and a print to adopt if you haven’t already!
