Summer should be all about effortless-beauty, right? While I’m not {but often wish I was!} the “roll out of bed and head out the door” kind of gal, these products take a lot of fuss out of my daily/weekly routine and make looking glam and pulled together a little easier!
Here’s a run down on why I can’t live without these products ::
This Mac lipstick has become a favorite since I met multiple bloggers at the Reward Style conference in Dallas wearing it. I noticed that this shade called ‘Girl About Town’ works on nearly every skintone! It’s the perfect summer pink. I usually layer mine with the Trish McEvoy lipgloss pictured to add shine and SPF. {This gloss is also my go-to for a little color and shine while at the pool or beach.}
Chanel nailpolish is one of my favorite beauty “splurges” since all their colors are amazing. I love this poppy red shade for summer.
The two makeup products I use each and every day during summer are my Bobbi Brown shimmer brick {in Beige} and Nars bronzer {in Casino}. Since I block out my face daily with SPF 50, the bronzer helps my face have color and match the rest of my body. The shimmer brick doubles as my daily eyeshadow and face highlighter. Just a little sweep over the eyelids and cheeks gives a gorgeous all-over glow! {This pretty pink powder brush is part of the new Topshop Beauty collection. I’m loving this gorgeous and super-affordable collection…this luxe-feeling brush is just $16!}
L’Occitane’s Almond Shower Oil is a must-have in my shower. I used this heavenly smelling oil as my shaving cream. It leaves my skin so soft that no after-shower moisturizer is needed!
Those of you who know me know I am the faux-tan queen! I have tried countless sunless-tanning products and the St. Tropez Mousse is the very best. Everytime I use it, I get asked where I got my spray-tan! It looks natural, gives great color with just one application and lasts for about five days! {Just be sure to apply with the application mitt, NOT your bare hands, to avoid staining your hands!}
I credit Beautycounter’s Lustro Oil #3 for my clear skin this summer. I was suffering from lots of breakouts this Spring, and after trying several products, facials and peels to no avail, this oil cleared me up within one week! I have hardly had a single breakout since incorporating the Lustro Oil into my nightly regime. {I have oily skin so putting an “oil” on my face felt wrong…but it works!} This product also smells amazing and gives your skin an all-over glow.
Last but not least, this new Nars foundation does a great job of giving both coverage and luminosity. I am always on the hunt for a foundation that covers my skin, hides my area of hyperpigmentation but that doesn’t look heavy, and this one is great!
Stylishly yours,
