Kimonos are one of my favorite current “trends.” I use that term lightly because kimonos are a timeless and classic summer staple. This season, they are particularly on-trend and one of the most practical things you can add to your summer wardrobe.
I particularly love kimonos when it comes to summer travel since they can be worn both as a swim coverup and a layering piece. Turn a simple tank and shorts look or sundress into an effortlessly cool, breezy outfit just by topping with a kimono.
Kimonos take up virtually no space/weight when packing but add some serious style and versatility to a vacation wardrobe.
The tie-die kimono by Sole Society I am wearing here is under $40. It’s so soft and the blue hues mix with any neutrals including white, ivory, linen, chambray, denim and navy.
Here are a few other affordable kimonos to shop ::
These cut-offs were a little “spurge” purchase I made right before last week’s beach trip and one of the best investments I’ve made in pair of shorts in a long time. I sized up one size for a slouchier fit, and they are perfection! I am not exaggerating when I say that I wore these everyday of our trip! {Stay tuned for a post all about my beach vacation to 30A coming soon!}
Last but not least, these Sole Society wedges are so fun and perfect for resort looks. They come in three colors, are comfortable and are under $70.
Be sure to head over to my Instagram feed @laurenlefevre to enter to win the Sole Society shoes of your choice. {You can choose the wedges in this post or any pair you wish!} I will be announcing a winner Friday evening over on Instagram.
Stylishly yours,
P.S. Shopbop is having a three-day only Surprise Sale that runs through end of day Thursday, May 5th. There are TONS of fantastic summer basics marked down by up to 40%. Here are a few of my favorites, but you must head over to the sale page to check out all the goodies!!
