Listen. I love a good maxi. Dress, skirt, I’m not that picky. I’m all about comfort, and maxis are the comfort equivalent of wearing sweatpants.
Therefore, since we have yet to discover a chic way to wear sweatpants in public (I’m looking at you, Pajama Jeans), maxi dresses are officially the way to go for all you comfort-seeking fashionistas.
But, Sherri. It’s August. That means I only have about another month to wear my maxi dress. This is so not a transitional piece!
Aw….you’re adorable. And wrong. But still adorable.
One word:
Jackets.
The end.
Just kidding! Simmer down, Sally. You know I have an example for you.
Is it summer? Fall? Spring? Who knows?! Maxi dresses year round! Maxi dresses for everyone!
(If you buy them yourselves. I’m not Oprah. Unfortunately.)
Disclaimer: Don’t be all, it’s -34 degrees here in Idaho, but Sherri said I could wear my maxi dress year-round.
Ain’t nobody got funds to pay for your frostbite surgery.
(Well, maybe Oprah does.)
I’m thinking you should get a little sassy, and rock a neon clutch.
What? I always lean against things and casually touch my hair. Don’t you?

Can you tell I like Anthropologie just a little bit?
Ahem.
Here are a few other jacket options that I’m currently loving for fall:
Any of these would be ideal for throwing on over a maxi dress in cooler weather. And, bonus?
You can wear them with your sweatpants too.
Until next time,
