I am more than excited to introduce you to Noonday Collection today. This is a company that has engaged my heart through its story and mission, and one that I have been wanting to talk about here on the blog for quite some time.
If you haven’t yet heard of Noonday, its mission is to create economic opportunity for the vulnerable. Noonday partners with artisans in the developing world, empowering them to grow sustainable businesses. By creating a marketplace for their goods, they create dignified jobs at living wages, allowing artisans to earn more in order to support their families. They also offer no interest loans and make advance payments on orders. This way they are able to shoulder the costs of materials and build a lasting relationship based on trust. Additionally, the company offers scholarship programs, emergency assistance and donates a portion of sales to place orphans in forever families.
Pretty amazing, right?!
The cherry on top of this awesome mission is that the accessories Noonday Collection makes and sells are exquisite!
I was gifted two gorgeous peices to style for a recent shoot in Austin, Texas. My favorite piece from the current collection is the Victoria Falls Necklace, which I am wearing below. This piece is made in Uganda from upcycled paper beads.
