If you follow me on Instastories, you may have heard me discuss that I have decided to cut way back on my Nordstrom Sale coverage and purchases this year. I have loved and avedly shopped this sale since my teenage years, then into my career as a wardrobe stylist and most recently as a fashion influencer. But the state of the world is just so different this year, that I have not felt as authentic in going all out with pushing lots of buying for others nor for myself.
What I honestly look forward to most about the Nordstrom Sale each year has been always been scoring some of my most worn/favorite “basics” in clothing,, shoes/accessories, undergarments and home items. That is what I am focusing on this year, and these are 10 items I ordered personally and think are great items to snag while on sale.
Free People Active Tank. This is hands-down my favorite work-out tank. I own it in tie-dye {also on sale} and in a few solid colors and honestly want ALL the colors. I ordered the Neon Coral {GORG in person} and the Vintage Blue. I have the lavender and it’s such a good color, too. It runs TTS and I am wearing a small.
Anthropologie Candle. This is the best time to stock up on amazing candles for your own home and for gifts! I just got this oversized one in the mail and LOVE it. It;s so pretty, smells so nice and is large enough to make a statement. I ordered a few more for gifts!
Free People Sweater. This is one of my favorite sweater styles ever and such a good deal on the sale! It’s hard to think about wearing a sweater in August but this one is comfy, flattering and worth grabbing now.
P448 Sneakers. My favorite brand of luxe sneakers and there are a few SUPER fun new Fall pairs on the sale. I splurged and bought two pairs, and am so thrilled about them both! I got these low-tops and these high-tops. I typically wear an 8 and wear a 38 in this brand. If you want a pair of fab sneaks under $100, I also have and adore this Dolce Vita pair.
Quay Sunglasses. The very first category I searched in the sale was Quay Sunglasses. These typically sell out the first day! I scored two pairs last year that I have worn so much, and ordered these three pairs this year. You cannot beat the under-$40 price!
Zella Leggings. I purchase a basic black pair of Zella leggings each and every year of the sale! This style is my favorite since it’s high-waisted, flattering and stretchy and light. Perfect for barre, yoga and indoor workouts!
Bliss Plush Throw. The best affordable, take-anywhere blanket ever. Our family loves these! We have been collecting them for years, keep a stash in our family room and always take them on road-trips. You cannot beat the quality and comfort for $24! These also make amazing gifts, and come in so many color options.
Marc Fisher Crossbody. I typically pick out one handbag this season. This cute black one is this year’s pick. {Although this leopard one also REALLY tempted me!} I feel like this Marc Fisher is a fun take on a “basic” go-with everything black bag and know I will get a ton of use out of it, year-round.
Chantille Bra. My favorite everyday bra, and I stock up on this one each and every year. It’s been my go-to for years and provides amazing shape. support and comfort. It even works under a tee-shirt! I also recommend stocking up on Hanky Panky undies {my everyday go-to} while on the sale, since finding them at this price is a rarity!
Marc Fisher Booties. These are my favorite bootie from the sale and my only shoe purchase besides sneakers. This bootie is gorg and comes in several really great colors. I chose the Ivory since I love a good white/ivory boot from Fall through Spring.
