I’m writing this post from Amelia Island, where I am savoring one last family beach vacation before my twins start kindergarten. I’ve been reflecting on how fast time flies and how just a few years ago the days chasing two toddlers felt SO long {and often impossible!}, and how I often felt like I would this day of them becoming school age would never arrive.
Now Jack and Lily are fun-loving, delightful 5 and a half year olds who I so enjoy vacationing, playing and laughing with, and I am feeling so unready for them to embark on the journey of school…even though I know they will love it and thrive!
As a part-time working/blogging mama, I struggle {probably like many of you} with being present. I am challenging myself to unplug more as this school year begins, to be fully in the moment with my family and friends and praying through what that looks like. If you all have any tips, advice and/or things that have worked well for you to successfully create better boundaries between work/social media and disconnecting, I would be so grateful to hear.
I would also love to learn what paper daytimer or virtual app has best helped you working girls and/or busy mamas best keep your schedule, kids activities, deadlines, etc. organized! I have tried numerous daytimers over the years and have resisted anything virtual, since I am a “pen and paper” gal, but am needing to step it up a notch to stay on top of all it all this school year.
I realize this is a different kind of post, and I hope to include more personal posts along the way. I would love to hear from you on what you want to see more of, what trends/style tips you would like to see this Fall and what other topics you would like to see more of {lifestyle, beauty, travel, home decor, etc.}
Thank you all for being such loyal, loving and encouraging readers and friends!
Stylishly yours,
