I spent this weekend in the most charming city, Charleston, South Carolina, for the Southern Blog Society blogger conference. Here’s a recap of what I wore…

A lace top and my new favorite cutoff for the road trip to Charleston. We stopped in Crawfordville, GA, where the movie “Sweet Home Alambama” was filmed for some BBQ and a quick photo op!

This neon pink dress made me feel like Malibu Barbie for Friday night’s cocktail party, hosted by Swoozies! We stayed at the Belmond Charleston Place, a gorgeous hotel in the center of the city and in walking distance to pretty much everything. The staff’s genuine southern hospitality was impressive and the all white bathrooms are to die for! If you are planning a trip to Charleston in the near future, I highly recommend staying here.

My blogging-buddy Jennifer Duvall of Jenny Sue Makeup was a dream roommate for the weekend! Not only is Jennifer one of my most favorite people, she’s a makeup artist and beauty blogger extraordinare! She did my makeup, complete with Esquido mink false lashes, each morning and evening…and now I need her to become my neighbor! This pop-color off-the-shoulder dress was my favorite look of the weekend. I am smitten with this dress and cannot beleive it’s under $100! {I typically wear a size 4 in Topshop and sized up to a size 6 in this dress…it runs small and doesn’t offer much stretch, but sure is cute on!}

After wearing brights all day, I opted for a neutral palete for Saturday night’s dinner and drinks.

This cute, comfy tasseled romper was the perfect piece to wear for some exploring around the city Sunday afternoon. A fab clothing/accessory rental boutique called The Stylist LA sent me this romper for my trip. Their selection of dresses and rompers is to-die-for, and they make it so affordable and easy to borrow cute clothes for any occassion!

Last but not least, Jennifer’s hubbie is a talented video producer and owner of JaWaVi Films. He created this fun mini-movie of our first few hours in Charleston. We had high-hopes of taking and making more videos during the trip, but stayed so busy, it sadly never happened! Stay tuned for some style and beauty videos coming to the blog in the near future.
