Now that I own my first, I am not quite sure why I haven’t ventured into a jumpsuit until now. I’m a new convert to one of the most comfortable things you can slip on for dress up!
Jumpsuits are trending in a major way this summer, so it is the perfect time to try one!
Like their short counterparts, rompers, jumpsuits come in a variety of styles, pant widths and sleeve lengths. They are surprisingly flattering on a range of body shapes and sizes. While jumpsuits tend to be a bit dressier than rompers, there are certainly casual, day-appropriate jumpsuits available. One thing I love about jumpsuits {besides the fact that they feel like you are wearing pajamas}, is that they will easily transition into Fall with the simple addition of a layering piece.
A few things to keep in mind as you shop for a romper :: 1. Make sure the waist is defined and cinched at the small of your waist. {In other words, avoid a “blousy all over look.} Feel free to add a belt, as needed. 2. Add a heel or wedge to a wide-legged jumpsuit for maximum flattery.
Here’s how I styled my very first jumpsuit. {I highly recommend this one by Vince Camuto.}
