I am a life-long lover of a good denim jacket and have owned literally dozens over the years. A well-fitting denim jacket is a wardrobe essential in my book, and they are definitely not all created equal in regards to fit, comfort, versatility and styling.
I was introduced to the Able Merly Jacket three seasons ago. It immediately became my go-to and I have rarely worn another denim jacket since. I wear the Merly all year round {mainly Spring/Fall} and never travel without it.
Here are a few things that make the Merly unique and the best denim jacket I know ::
- The distressing and wash are perfect! It dresses up or down, pairs with neutrals and colors and the distressing addds a fun “edge” to every look.
- The longer length. This jacket has a longer length than any denim jacket I had previously owned. At first I wasn’t sure how I would like the length but I actually love it! I find that this length elongates the torso, flatters and lays great with everything from pants to shorts to skirts to dresses. It’s also a perfect length to wear with leggings. {My typical travel look!}
- The buttery-soft denim. While many denim jackets are more rigid-feeling, the Merly is ultra-soft. It is by far the most comfortable denim jacket I have owned, which is another reason I love wearing it for travel.
