White jeans are near the very top of our “Spring/Summer wardrobe staples” list. White jeans look chic day or night, pair fabulously with any bright color, with dark hues like black, brown and gray, as well as with other neutrals such as ivory, beige and blush {a very on-trend look for Spring}.
I often tell clients that finding a pair of great white jeans is much like shopping for a bathing suit. It’s just not much fun and often takes many tries to find the perfect pair. But, I believe that this is a quest well-worth investing time and effort into… and that there is a pair of white jeans for every body type. I recommend soliciting an honest third party opinion {a good friend, an Edit stylist, etc.} as you shop and try jeans on. Look for a material with stretch and make sure that the fabric is thick enough to prevent panty-line see through.
And to answer one of the most asked questions each Spring…when can you start wearing white jeans?! Go ahead and start now! Gone are the “old rules” of having to wait until Easter to pull out your white. I recommend pairing white now with darker hues, chambray or neutrals and saving wearing them with brights until mid to late April when the weather is warmer and sunnier {unless you live in a warm, coastal environment where it feels like summer nearly year-round!}.
Here are my top picks of this season’s must-try white jeans…
We’ll be styling some white jeans looks soon on the blog for some spring outfit inspiration, so stay tuned!
Stylishly yours,
